IF I WOULD HAVE

When we talking about something that didn´t happen in the past, many people how speak english use the conditional perfect (if I would have done) when they should be using the past perfect (if I have done).

EXAMPLES:

1.- If I would have know you were going to the movies, I would have gone too.

2.- If I would have gotten paid, we could have traveled together.

3.- If you would have asked me, I could have helped you.

4.-If you would have call me, I could have said what you need to do.

5.-If would have go to school, we could have got better grades.

2 comentarios:

  1. Good examples! I like that you are using "could" for these examples, we didn't use "could" in the examples in class.

--> 4. If you would have called me,
--> 5. We could have got better grades.

Estela, can you mention your sources of information please?
